The second quarter of 2021 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top 5 film and television apps on iOS in Ecuador. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics for these popular apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Netflix experienced a steady decrease in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $3.4K at the end of March and ending at around $2.9K in the last week of June. Weekly downloads saw some fluctuations, peaking at 4.8K in mid-April and dropping to 3.9K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users hovered around 260K to 270K throughout the quarter, with a slight increase towards the end.

Disney+ showed a varied performance in terms of revenue, with a high of $5.2K in late April and ending Q2 with $5K. Downloads initially decreased from 3.9K at the start of the quarter to 2.7K in mid-May, but saw recovery towards June, reaching 3.3K. Active users increased steadily from 46.9K at the end of March to 53K by the end of June.

IPTV Pro Play List M3U had no revenue during this period. Downloads spiked dramatically in late June, reaching 10.8K, after starting the quarter with just 92 downloads. Active users followed a similar pattern, increasing from 166 in late March to 9.8K by the end of June.

Amazon Prime Video maintained a stable revenue stream, fluctuating between $2.4K and $2.9K. Downloads remained relatively consistent, with a peak of 2.4K in mid-April and a low of 1.4K in late June. Active users showed a steady increase from 19.1K at the end of March to 22.8K by the end of June.

DGO did not generate any revenue in Q2 2021. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 2.6K in late May and ending the quarter with 2.1K. Active users saw a noticeable increase from 12.2K at the end of March to 15.3K by the end of June.
